About This Test
Our Essential Well Person At Home Blood Test provides comprehensive insight into your overall health, with a Nurse or phlebotomist visiting you at home or at work to take your blood sample, all included in the price.
The test covers a range of parameters, including a full blood count, cholesterol profile, liver function, kidney function, bone markers, iron function, and a basic diabetic profile.
Your test results will be individually reviewed by our Pharmacy team and provided in an easy-to-read format with a clinical report providing more detail on each result. You will also benefit from an inclusive referral letter from our GPHC-registered Pharmacist for any abnormal results that may need further investigation.
How It Works
- Order your Essential Well Person At Home Blood Test securely online
- Our nurse/phlebotomist will contact you to arrange a home visit
- Our nurse/phlebotomist will take your blood sample and arrange for it to be sent to the laboratory
- Results are normally available within 48 working hours, followed by a review from a member of our clinical team

- Full Blood Count – checks a variety of disorders, such as anaemia and infection, inflammation, nutritional status, and bleeding. Included in a full blood count:
- Red cell count, Haemoglobin, Haematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW
- White blood cell count, Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Monocytes, Eosinophils, Basophils
- Platelet count, MPV
- Cholesterol Profile – monitor the health of your heart and check your cholesterol level:
- Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Non-HDL, HDL % Total, Triglycerides
- Liver Function:
- Bilirubin, Alkaline Phosphatase, AST, ALT, Gamma GT, Protein Total, Albumin
- Kidney Function:
- Urea, Creatinine, eGFR
- Bone Health – Check how healthy your bones are:
- Calcium, Uric Acid, Magnesium
- Iron Profile – A low iron level can lead to anaemia and can cause symptoms such as tiredness and lack of energy (lethargy), heart palpitations, and shortness of breath:
- Iron, Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC), Unsaturated Iron-Binding Capacity (UIBC), Transferrin Saturation, and Ferritin
- Diabetic Test – Check your sugar levels:
- Glucose
You can also personalise this test by adding:
- Diabetic Marker HbA1c – £25
- HbA1c is your three-month average blood sugar level, and together with the Glucose marker already included in this test, it will give you a full diabetic profile.
- Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA Total) for men – £35
- Measures the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA), which can check for prostate cancer.
- Ovarian Cancer Screening CA 125 for women – £35
- Measures the amount of CA 125 protein. CA125 can be found on the surface of most ovarian cancer cells.
