Our female fertility test will provide a quantitative analysis of 4 main hormones: FSH, LH, Oestradiol and AMH. This test will give clear information on the number of eggs present as well as the levels of hormones responsible for the reproductive system helping you plan for a family either now or in the future.
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
FSH is involved in the production of eggs by the ovaries. FSH levels fluctuate during the menstrual cycle increasing to release a follicle during ovulation.
Luteinising hormone (LH)
LH helps regulate the menstrual cycle, with levels being at their highest before ovulation.
Oestradiol
Oestradiol is responsible for the growth of breast tissue and the female reproductive system. Oestradiol levels vary over the menstrual cycle and peaks just before ovulation.
Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH)
The level of AMH reflects how many follicles are growing, which gives an indication of how many eggs are present in the ovary. The number of eggs present in the ovary declines the older you get, until the menopause, when the supply runs out.
AMH values do not correlate with the egg quality, therefore it should not be used as a predictor of natural fertility
