• Full Blood Count (also known as a Complete Blood Count): A full blood count provides important information about the kinds and numbers of cells in the blood:

• • Red blood cells:
    • Haemoglobin (Hb)
    • HCT
    • Red Cell Count
    • MCV
    • MCH
    • MCHC
    • RDW
  • White blood cells (immune system):
    • Neutrophils
    • Lymphocytes
    • Monocytes
    • Eosinophils
    • Basophils
  • Platelets (helps blood clot)
    • MPV
  • Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). ESR can show if you have inflammation in your body

• Kidney Function (Urea & Electrolytes): Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, Urea, Creatinine, eGFR
• Liver Function: Bilirubin, Alk Phos, AST, ALT, Gamma GT, Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin
• Bone Markers: Calcium, Phosphate, Uric Acid, Magnesium
• Cholesterol: Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL Cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol, Non-HDL Cholesterol
• Iron:Iron, Total Iron Binding Capacity, Ferritin, Transferrin Saturation
• Diabetes: Fasting/Random Glucose levels, HbA1c
• Thyroid Function: TSH, T4
• Cardiac/Heart Disease: High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein
• Essential Vitamins: Vitamin D (25-OH) and Vitamin B12 (Active)
• Hormone Profile, either:
  • Female Hormone Profile (for Women):FSH, FAI, LH, Oestradiol, Prolactin, SHBG, Testosterone, Progesterone
  • Male Hormone Profile (for Men):DHEA Sulphate, FSH, Free Testosterone Calculation, LH, Oestradiol, Prolactin, SHBG, Testosterone
• PSA test for prostate cancer screening (For men over 40 year’s old) Or Red Cell Folate (For men under 40 years old)
• CA125 test for ovarian cancer (For women over 40 year’s old) Or Red Cell Folate (For women under 40 years old)

• It is best to take this test in the morning before any food and preferably before taking any medication
• You should not have any vitamin or iron supplements 24 hours before this test
• You should fast (Not eat or drink anything other than water) for 8 hours before the test
• Try not to eat meat for 12 hours prior to the test
• You should limit your exercise to normal activities 48 hours before the test (for example no  vigorous exercise) since muscle strain from exercise can temporarily increase CK levels in your blood and (for men) increase PSA levels
• (For men) The following may cause PSA levels to be elevated
  • You should not do this test if you have an active urinary infection (UTI) or had a UTI Or urological intervention such as prostate biopsy in previous 6 weeks.
  • You should not have ejaculated in previous 48 hours

You can also have your results posted to any UK address.

You can personalise this blood test by adding additional markers at a discounted price compared to having each marker as a standalone blood test. 

Options on what can be added to each blood test will be presented when making your booking. If there is a specific blood test you require which is not listed and we are able to offer this, you can either call our Pharmacy beforehand or request the marker be added at your appointment.

We will take all required samples for your additional blood tests at your appointment. Additional blood tests must be tested at the same appointment as the main test in order to be eligible for the discounted add-on blood test price.
