Understand your ovarian reserve and the number of eggs left in your ovaries
AMH is generally used in fertility treatment as it can assess your egg reserve, but it is also used alongside other tests in assessing conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
The level of AMH reflects how many follicles are growing, which gives an indication of how many eggs are present in the ovary. The number of eggs present in the ovary declines the older you get, until the menopause, when the supply runs out.
AMH values do not correlate with the egg quality, therefore it should not be used as a predictor of natural fertility
